Along life's road she met many musical collaborators - and stepped in and out of 'dues' doors. Doing so gave her the opportunity to work a gamut of venues, from  bars and clubs to galas and festivals. In 1985, Annette Lowman was a guest vocalist with the Claude Bolling Big Band at the Nice Jazz Festival, a prestigious French summer event.
